The 19th Annual Small Business Week Celebration will be held at the University of North Florida’s University Center on Wednesday, May 25, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. This year’s event will feature marketing and advertising expert Kelly McDonald.
McDonald has more than 20 years of advertising agency experience on both the general market and Latino sides of the business. Her company, McDonald Marketing, works with clients such as Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, Kimberly-Clark, Bank One, Alltel and Budweiser. Her book, “How to Market to People Not Like You,” was released in March.
McDonald has been featured on CNBC, CNNMoney.com, Sirius/XM Radio and in BusinessWeek. McDonald Marketing has twice been named one of the top advertising agencies in the U.S. by Advertising Age magazine.
Following the keynote presentation, the U.S. Small Business Administration will present its coveted Small Business Week awards, spotlighting the outstanding contributions of North Florida business leaders and champions at the district level. The U.S. SBA will also recognize North Florida’s top SBA Lenders with awards for significant participation in the 7(a) and 504 Loan programs for fiscal year 2010.
