Art Show and Wine Tasting Benefits John Golden Environmental Education Pavilion at UNF
Joanna Norris, Associate Director
Department of Public Relations
An art show, featuring award-winning wildlife photography by Jon Sund, and a wine/beer tasting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the John Golden Environmental Education Pavilion, Building 54, at the University of North Florida. The Pavilion is located near the main 9A/St. Johns Bluff Road campus entrance.
Sund, a Florida Master Naturalist, will have his artwork on display and for sale, while event sponsor Jack & Diane’s Café, located in Fernandina Beach, will have a wine and beer tasting for $5 per person. A portion of proceeds from the art show and the tasting will benefit environmental education programs housed at the Education Pavilion on the UNF campus.
“Jon and I would like to contribute our unique talents to promoting UNF’s dedication to outdoor education,” said Lisa Jones, environmental educator and owner of Jack & Diane’s Café. “It would be our dream to have this as the first event in a long, sustainable relationship with the University to elevate community awareness about the extensive environmental educational programs housed in the John Golden Environmental Education Pavilion.”
