The new upcoming academic year means change in leadership to the Board of Directors for the University of North Florida’s Alumni Association. Erica Stafstrom has moved to the president’s position this year, while Rob Raesemann, the former secretary/treasurer, has moved to the vice-president position. New to the executive team is Bob Chassman, who will serve as secretary/treasurer.

During Stafstrom’s eight-year tenure with the board, she has served as chairperson of several Association committees and was awarded the “Impact Award” in 2009 for her outstanding leadership. She is employed with BlueCross BlueShield of Florida as a senior manager of Financial Systems, supporting the enterprise financial accounting system.

Stafstrom graduated from UNF with a BBA in accounting in 1994 and also earned an MBA in 1996. After college, she worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as an auditor for four years. She is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Raesemann received his degree from UNF in 1992 and has served on the alumni board since 2004. He is the owner of Raesemann Enterprises, Inc., a company specializing in industrial information technology and services. He has worked on overseeing the installation of monitoring systems for the Jacksonville Energy Authority and automation projects at Kennedy Space Center.

Chassman, who graduated with his MBA from UNF in 1997, is a strategist in the Commercial Banking Group of Wells Fargo Bank. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he was an investment banker at Allen C. Ewing & Co., a boutique firm in Jacksonville specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he was a senior financial analyst with Bombardier Capital, the financing arm of the global aircraft manufacturer, and a financial analyst with Florida Rock Industries, which is now owned by Vulcan Materials.

The UNF Alumni Association is a non-profit organization. Its purpose is to foster, maintain and support a life-long relationship between alumni and the University. The Board of Directors, comprised of UNF alumni, governs the Association by setting policy, providing guidance for the Association's programs and activities, and represents the interests of more than 58,000 alumni to the University.
