Glasses were welded on the top of the ears of the Mahatma Gandhi statue, which stands in the courtyard between Building 1 and Building 2 on campus. The Florida Times-Union captured welders putting the finishing touches on the lifelike 8-foot tall bronze statue that will be unveiled on campus Sunday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m.
