Would you like to be working in one of the fastest growing professions? Paralegals and legal assistants are projected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through 2012. And you can be a part of it!
The University of North Florida’s Legal Studies Institute in the Division of Continuing Education will host a Legal Studies Exploration Night at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, at the University Center on campus.
The Legal Studies Institute offers programs in paralegal certification, legal secretary certification, dual certification and a paralegal/certified legal assistant preparation program. The new term begins February 6, 2006. Save $90 off course registration if you enroll during Exploration Night.
“Our program is unique from other legal studies programs because our curriculum is strictly focused on the nature of the certificate program and offers a wide variety of topics for today’s legal professionals,” said Nancy Ann Martinez, UNF’s legal studies program manager. “We have stellar faculty, dedicated students in small class sizes and everyone in the classroom working toward a common goal.”
Established in 1999, the Legal Studies Institute at UNF offers a number of convenient formats for training, including classroom and online training. Courses meet one day per week during a 14-week term. Three terms are scheduled each year. Beginning in February, several Legal Studies courses will be offered at two new satellite locations in the Orange Park and downtown areas.
In order to enroll in the Legal Studies program the following items need to be submitted: enrollment application, copy of transcripts or diploma, transfer course information, if applicable (maximum of three courses may be transferred) and a current resume.
