The University of North Florida’s Youth Sports and Fitness Camps have openings for children between the ages of five and 14 years old. The camp utilizes the state-of-the-art facilities on the campus, such as the indoor, Olympic-sized swimming pool, the soccer stadium and the GolfPlex.
UNF’s camps are staffed with 25 counselors, all UNF education majors, student athletes, or Duval County schoolteachers, with a ratio of one counselor for every 10 campers.
Each day offers something different for campers, including flag football, stickball, tennis, track, soccer, arts and crafts and field trips to educational locations such as the Jacksonville Zoo and Little Talbot Island State Park. Swimming is offered every day.
Camp begins May 31 and will continue for eight weeks. Parents can drop off their campers as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick up as late at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $150 per week per camper.
