UNF: Columnist to Discuss U.S.-EU Relationship

The man who serves as columnist and U.S. editor of The Times of London will speak on “The United States and European Union: Competitors or Allies?” at the University Center on the University of North Florida campus on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
The 7:30 p.m. lecture by Gerard Baker is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required. UNF and the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville are co-hosts for the event.
The Oxford-educated Baker moved last year from the Financial Times to The Times of London to be the paper’s U.S. editor and assistant editor. Baker continues to work from Washington, D.C. At the Financial Times, he wrote columns on U.S. politics and policy after spending three years as the Tokyo correspondent. Baker also previously worked for the BBC and London Weekend Television.
UNF and the World Affairs Council are co-hosts for several lectures this year. The World Affairs Council of Jacksonville is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to engaging the community in global issues.
