Scott Lowery Named UNF's Director of Athletics Ticketing

University of North Florida Director of Athletics Lee Moon announced today that Scott Lowery has been hired as UNF’s Director of Athletics Ticketing.

Lowery comes into this newly created position at UNF after serving as Director of Athletic Ticketing for Old Dominion University the past two years. While managing the ticket operations for their Division I athletic program, Lowery’s ticketed sports included men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, scholarship events and football.

“I am excited to be a part of the Athletics Department staff and UNF under the direction of Lee Moon,” said Lowery. “I look forward to helping the department continue its transition into the Division I ranks as it becomes an exciting venue in the Jacksonville area.”

At ODU, Lowery has had extensive experience working in the ticketing and business office operations side of collegiate athletics. He has dealt with reseating arenas, planning the ticket operations and has had experience dealing with many postseason NCAA events.

Lowery will serve as the point man in directing the operations of the UNF Athletics Ticket Office. He will manage the season ticket campaigns, single-game sales, and group sales, as well as oversee ticket promotions, sales, and seat assignments.

After graduating from Old Dominion in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in sport management, he worked for, and along with, many of the offices within the ODU athletic department.

Since being a graduate assistant in the ticket office 10 years ago, Lowery has progressed through the chain of command at Old Dominion. He was an assistant athletic events manager, assistant athletic ticket manager, assistant business manager and finally reached the Director of Athletic Ticketing in 2007.

The Norfolk, Va. native, married the former Shana Harrington, on July 10, 2009.
