Continuing Education Hosts Careers in Green Jobs Workshop

The Division of Continuing Education at the University of North Florida will host a “Careers in Green Jobs Workshop” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 26, at the University Center on campus.

The free one-day program, funded by WorkSource, is designed for individuals who are unemployed, underemployed or wishing to pursue careers in the exciting new arena of green jobs.

Don’t miss out in being on the cutting edge of helping transform Florida’s economy to a green economy. Come and learn about careers in renewable energy infrastructure, energy efficient home retrofitting, bio fuel development, drive train/vehicle development in manufacturing and much more.

Representatives from various companies, including JEA, Miller Electric, Breaking Ground Contracting and Growers Alliance Coffee, will be giving presentations during the workshop. There will also be educational representatives from UNF and The Banner Center for Logistics and Supply Chain.
