Center for Global Health Hosts Quality Safety Forum at UNF

The Center for Global Health and Medical Diplomacy at the University of North Florida will host “Building a Region of Medical Excellence: Working Together to Enhance Quality, Safety and Service” on Tuesday, April 28, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the J. Brooks Brown Hall (Building 39, Room 1009) on the UNF campus.
National and regional experts will discuss how advanced quality and safety efforts are enhancing our health, medical care and biomedical industry. Keynote speakers include Carolyn Clancy, M.D., and James Rohack, M.D.
Clancy is the director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). She serves as senior associate editor of Health Services Research and on multiple editorial boards, including the Annals of Family Medicine, American Journal of Medical Quality as well as Medical Care Research and Review.
Clancy is a member of the Institute of Medicine and a master of the American College of Physicians.
Rohack is the president-elect of the American Medical Association. He has chaired the National Advisory Council to the AHRQ, served as treasurer of the Board of Commissioners of the Joint Commission and is a current member of the Hospital Quality Alliance principals. Rohack is also a member of the Quality Alliance Steering Committee workgroups on cost/price transparency and efficiency/episodes of care.
There is no charge to attend the forum but reservations are required. Register at www.unf.edu/brooks/center. 3.5 CME credits will be given for participation in the forum.
