UNF celebrates Nest Fest 2009 Homecoming

The University of North Florida will celebrate its annual homecoming Saturday, Feb. 7, through Saturday, Feb. 14. Nest Fest 2009 features numerous events, including a comedy show with funny guys Christian Finnegan and Stephen Lynch, “Kickin’ It Old School” lip sync competition, Swoop the Loop 5K run, basketball games and much more.

Saturday, Feb. 7
Swoop the Loop 5K

Registration, 8 a.m.; Race, 9 a.m.
Free with student ID
Alumni and general public $20
Come out and race for a cause. Registration is $20 with proceeds benefiting the UNF On Campus Transition Program. You can register online at www.1stplacesports.com or on the day of the race.

Homecoming Comedy Show

$5 for UNF alumni; $10, general public
Enjoy an evening with funny guys Christian Finnegan and Stephen Lynch. Finnegan is a comedian, writer and actor who can currently be seen as a panelist on VH1’s hit series “Best Week Ever” and as host of TV Land’s game show “Game Time.” Lynch is a comedian, musician and Tony Award-nominated actor who is best known for his songs mocking daily life and popular culture. Tickets are available at the UNF Ticket Box Office at (904) 620-2878.

The UNF Alumni Association invites alumni to enjoy Georgia O’Keeffe and “Her Times: American Modernism” from the Lane Collection, featuring UNF professor Dr. Deborah Murphy.
