Breast Cancer Focus of Women and Girls Initiative Lecture

The University of North Florida’s Women and Girls Health Initiative will host a complimentary lunch and lecture on Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the University Center on campus. The topic of the lecture will be breast cancer.
The lecture will include a presentation that incorporates interviews with Dr. Edith Perez, a world renowned breast cancer researcher and co-director of the Mayo Clinic Multidisciplinary Breast Clinic; Dr. Shahla Masood, chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, UF&Shands; Dr. Kathryn Pearson, radiologist, Drs. Mori, Bean & Brooks, P.A, and breast cancer survivor Kristie Naines.
The Women and Girls Health Initiative aims to motivate, educate and engage individuals in the strengthening and delivery of excellence in women and girls’ health care. This event is part of the Women and Girls Health Initiative annual lecture series.
