The Princeton Review just named the University of North Florida as a 2008 Best Southeastern College. UNF is among 146 top colleges and universities in the Southeast receiving this designation.
“I believe there’s no place like the University of North Florida,” said UNF President John A. Delaney. “We’re a unique university and our focus on teaching students and providing them with an individualized college experience is definitely putting us on the map.”
Student opinion data from 366 schools is featured on the Best Colleges: Region by Region section of PrincetonReview.com. Tallies for the 2008 edition of The Princeton Review’s annual college guide “Best 366 Colleges” are based on surveys of 120,000 students.
The survey asks students 80 questions about their school’s academics, administration, campus life, student body and themselves. Ninety percent of the surveys were completed online and 10 percent were paper surveys conducted on campuses. The schools in the book are not ranked academically nor are they ranked 1 to 366 in any category.
The Princeton Review is a New York City-based company known for its test-prep courses, education services and books.
