UNF Presents 'An Evening with Andrei Codrescu'

The College of Arts and Sciences and the Child Development Research Center at the University of North Florida present “An Evening with Andrei Codrescu” at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, in the Fine Arts Center Lazzara Performance Hall. Codrescu is a screenwriter, novelist, poet, National Public Radio columnist and editor of Exquisite Corpse, an online literary journal.

Codrescu, the MacCurdy Distinguished Professor of English at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, was born in Sibiu, Romania, immigrating to the United States in 1966. He has authored numerous books of fiction as well as poetry, including the national bestseller “The Blood Countess,” “Wakefield,” “Casanova in Bohemia” and “The Repentance of Lorraine.”

His film, “Road Scholar,” won the George Foster Peabody Award, Golden Eagle Award, Chris Award and Best Documentary at the Seattle International Film Festival as well as the San Francisco Film Festival.
