St. Johns Bluff Entrance at UNF Temporarily Closed
Contact: Joanna Norris, Assistant Director
Department of Media Relations and Events
The St. Johns Bluff entrance to the University of North Florida will be closed for approximately three weeks, beginning Saturday, April 29, in order to facilitate the construction of 9A and to minimize inconvenience to faculty, staff and students.
Alternative entrances to the campus include using the one on Kernan Boulevard and the north entrance on Central Parkway. There are two ways to access the north entrance. One is Central Parkway off St. Johns Bluff Road, near the BP gas station and the Silver Springs apartment complex. The other is taking Central Parkway from Beach Boulevard in front of FCCJ. Access to athletics, recreation areas and parking lot 18 will continue via the north entrance at Central Parkway.
The University Police Department will take measures to minimize delays and traffic congestion. Directional signs will be posted throughout the campus area for alternative entrances to the University. Please see the attached map, depicting the closure and available routes to and from campus. The map can also be accessed at http://www.unf.edu/mainpages/bluff-closure.html.
