Marketing University Research

UNF will participate in the first Florida Tech Transfer Conference in St. Petersburg on May 17 and 18. The conference offers businesses the chance to learn about working with Florida’s universities and offers universities the chance to showcase their research.

Dr. Jim Collom, director of the Division of Sponsored Research and Training, will attend the event, and Dr. Susan Vasana will give a presentation. Vasana will discuss a digital receiver that has high sensitivity and therefore can reduce half of the transmission power, and can be used to build in healthy personal communication products. Dr. Stuart Chalk, who received UNF’s first patent, and Alexandra Schonning will have posters representing new technology under development at UNF at the conference.

The conference is sponsored by the Florida Research Consortium and the Tampa Bay Technology Forum. The consortium is a not-for-profit partnership between Florida’s universities, the business community and the state.
