Ambassador to Speak Jan. 12

Kishore Mahbubani, Singapore's U.N. ambassador, will speak on "The U.N. After Iraq: Up or Down?" on Monday, Jan. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center on the UNF campus. Mahbubani has served in Cambodia, Malaysia, Washington, D.C., and New York. He is the author of "Can Asians Think? Understanding the Divide between East and West." His talk is sponsored by the World Affairs Council and UNF.

UNF Board of Trustees to Meet Jan. 15

The UNF Board of Trustees will meet Thursday, Jan. 15, at 2:30 p.m. in the Board of Trustees Room at the University Center. During the meeting, the portrait of former UNF President Anne Hopkins will be presented. Hopkins will be present at the meeting.

Agenda items include consideration of the master of arts in practical philosophy and master of science in rehabilitation counseling; approval of child care center fees; approval of activity and service, health and athletics fees; and an update on the University marketing and branding initiative. University to Close for King Holiday

UNF will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
