Each week we prepare a “TIP SHEET” for Jacksonville-area media highlighting events and activities of interest to the community. Individuals attending all events on campus are reminded that $2 parking permits are required and can be purchased at the Information Booth as they enter campus.
Most of North America will get a chance to see the first lunar eclipse of 2003 on May 15, and UNF’s Dr. John Anderson, director of the Center for Science and the Public, is available to answer any questions about the event.
Presidential Candidate Interviews
The Board of Trustees will conduct two public meetings as part of the presidential search. All meetings will begin at 8 a.m. and will occur in the President's Conference Room in J.J. Daniel Hall (Building 1). An open campus forum for all faculty, staff and students to meet with the presidential candidates will be from 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. in Schultz Hall, Building 9, Room 1421, during each candidate's visit. Candidate John Delaney will be interviewed Tuesday, May 13; and candidate Gary Krahenbuhl will be interviewed Wednesday, May 14.
Board of Trustees Meeting
The University of North Florida Board of Trustees will conduct a meeting on Thursday, May 15, at 2:30 p.m. in the Board of Trustees Room of the University Center. Agenda items include: discussion of salary for student government president; vendor selection process; research mission at UNF; and legislative update. A copy of the agenda may be obtained by visiting www.unf.edu/trustees. Anyone requiring special accommodations to participate in this meeting may contact Shannon McLeish at (904) 620-2500 at least three working days before the meeting.
