Each week we prepare a "TIP SHEET" for Jacksonville-area media highlighting events and activities of interest to the community. Individuals attending all events on campus are reminded that $2 parking permits are required and can be purchased at the Information Booth as they enter campus.
Breakfast and Mayoral Politics
The University of North Florida Alumni Association is the host for a Mayoral Forum breakfast on Wednesday, March 26, at 7:30 a.m. at the University Center, 12000 Alumni Drive.
Mayoral candidates Matt Carlucci, Ginger Soud, Michael B. Weinstein, Nat Glover, Keith M. Myers and Betty Holzendorf will participate.
A continental breakfast will start at 7 a.m., and the program will start at 7:30 a.m. and end about 9 a.m. The format will consist of informal 10-minute presentations by the candidates summarizing their platforms, followed by questions from the audience.

War on Iraq
UNF experts can help to explain what is going on as the United States continues its war in Iraq. UNF professors can offer their expertise on:

Presidential Search Meetings
The Presidential Search Committee of the University of North Florida will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, March 26, and Tuesday, April 1, both at 2 p.m. in the Banquet Hall Room 1044-1 of UNF’s University Center.
The purpose of the meeting on March 26 is to receive and discuss applications and discuss procedure with the search consultant. The purpose of the meeting on April 1 is to review applications and receive any additional applications.
Any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this meeting is asked to contact Lina Monell at (904) 620-2507 at least three working days before the meeting.
Bernard Kalb Available for Interviews
Bernard Kalb will bring his insider’s view of the media to UNF on Wednesday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. as part of a lecture sponsored by UNF, BellSouth and the World Affairs Council.
Kalb critiques the media as a panelist on the weekly CNN show Reliable Sources, using his background in journalism and the White House to gauge the media’s fairness and objectivity.
The lecture at the University Center is free, but tickets are required and are available at the Ticket Box Office at 620-2878.
