Issues Affecting Women
As part of Women’s History Month, Communications and Visual Arts Professor Berrin Beasley and Philosophy Professor Julie Ingersoll are available to talk about issues affecting women.

Beasley can speak on the media's effects on women's body image, gender role stereotyping, how women are depicted in video games and gender role stereotyping on children's Web sites. Beasley also is this year’s winner of the Susan B. Anthony Award, which recognizes a member of the UNF community who has made significant contributions to the women of UNF.

Ingersoll studies women and religion and controversy surrounding women’s roles. She also looks at religion and politics and religion in American culture.

If you would like to speak with Beasley or Ingersoll, please call the Office of News and Publications at (904) 620-2140.
