Each week we prepare a "TIP SHEET" for Jacksonville-area media highlighting events and activities of interest to the community. Area media are invited to the Jacksonville International Airport at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, for the welcoming ceremony of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who will teach several classes this semester at UNF. Welcoming Tutu will be UNF Interim President David Kline and Jacksonville Mayor John Delaney. Following the ceremony in the Haskell Gallery on the concourse level of the airport, media will have an opportunity to interview Tutu, who is arriving from South Africa. This is the Nobel Peace Prize winner’s second visit to UNF. For information, contact the Office of News and Publications at 620-2140.

UNF students will begin classes on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Fox is rolling out its latest "reality television" series, "Joe Millionaire," this month. Dr. Lisa Joniak, an assistant professor in Communications and Visual Arts, researches television and film, including how viewers interpret and understand reality television programming.
