The University of North Florida will host two commencement ceremonies on Friday, Dec. 13. The first will be at 3 p.m. for graduates of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences and Computing Sciences and Engineering. The second ceremony will be at 7 p.m. for graduates of the Coggin College of Business, the College of Education and Human Services, and the College of Health.
Both ceremonies will be held in the Arena. Tickets are required for admission. More than 900 graduates will be receiving degrees, including 724 bachelor’s, 185 master’s and five doctorates.
At the 3 p.m. ceremony will be the commissioning of ROTC officers, plus the recognition of this year’s Senior Service Award recipient, Serah Makka. Makka, who will be receiving a degree in economics and international studies, has participated in numerous volunteer activities both on and off campus.
Each semester, the UNF Alumni Association selects a graduating senior to receive the Senior Service Award in honor of volunteerism to the University or the community.
