Faculty Handbook

This Faculty Handbook was prepared by the staff of Academic Affairs working cooperatively with the Faculty Affairs Committee of the Faculty Association, the United Faculty of Florida, and other contributors. We hope that you will find this document useful. The Handbook is being made available electronically to facilitate subsequent revision and, more importantly, to facilitate immediate access. Emphasis has been placed on general university policies and related procedures.

The policies, regulations and procedures contained in the Faculty Handbook apply to all faculty of the University of North Florida, except to the extent that any such policy, regulation or procedure, or any part thereof, shall be superseded by Florida Statutes, the Florida Administrative Code, or by the terms of the Board of Trustees-United Faculty of Florida Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I wish to express my personal appreciation to the faculty of UNF. You are the University’s greatest asset.

Earle C. Traynham

Interim Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs
