The 2013 plan year open enrollment period begins Monday, October 8th and continues through Friday, November 2nd. Open enrollment is a special period during which changes to pre-tax employee benefits can be made. Any changes you make to your elections will be effective January 1, 2013. We encourage you to spend time considering your options. People First has mailed you information regarding changes and options for 2013. If you did not receive a package, you may call the People First Service Center at (866) 663-4735 and request a copy or go online to the People First web page. The Department of Management Services (DMS) also has helpful information online, which includes cost estimator tools to help your decision-making. We encourage you to take advantage of those resources as you make your decisions for 2013. Be sure to read your benefits statement carefully. It will show you the plans and coverage levels you will have beginning January 1, 2013 if you take no action.
• Online: To make changes online, visit the People First web page. The People First web page is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week. • Phone: To make changes over the phone, call the People First Service Center at (866) 663-4735. • In person: To make changes in person, visit the Office of Human Resources.
• Rates will increase for several dental plans. Click here for more details. • BlueCross BlueShield of Florida is now Florida Blue. There are no plan changes. • Medco is changing to Express Scripts. There are no plan or network changes. • CompBenefits dental plan names are changing to Humana. • The Assurant Heritage Plus dental plan is changing to Assurant Prepaid 225. • The maximum annual contribution amount for a Medical Reimbursement Account (MRA) and a Limited Purpose Medical Reimbursement Account (LPMRA) will be $2,500.
Dependent Eligibility: To complete the Open Enrollment process this year, you must certify the eligibility of your dependents, if any. Log in to People First for the easy verification process. You will need your dependent information – birth dates and Social Security Numbers. Please click here for information on eligible dependents.
