The 2012 plan year open enrollment period begins November 7th at 8 a.m. and continues through November 18th at 6 p.m. Open enrollment is a special period during which changes to pre-tax employee benefits can be made. Any changes you make to your elections will be effective January 1, 2012. There are several changes this year that will impact your benefits, so we encourage you to spend time considering your options.
People First has mailed you detailed information regarding changes and options for 2012. If you do not receive a package, you may call the People First Service Center at (866) 663-4735 and request a copy or go online to the People First web page.
The Department of Management Services (DMS) also has helpful information online at www.MyFlorida.com/MyBenefits, which includes cost estimator tools to help your decision-making. We encourage you to take advantage of those resources as you make your decisions for 2012.
Be sure to read your benefits statement carefully. It will show you the plans and coverage levels you will have beginning January 1, 2012 if you take no action.
Changes can be made three ways during open enrollment:
The 2012 Plan Year Open Enrollment period is Monday, November 7, 2011 through Friday, November 18, 2011. During this time you may:
• Enroll in plans for the 2012 plan year • Change your coverage levels and/or plans • Drop coverage Correction Period: November 21, 2011 through December 2, 2011. During this time you may make corrections to changes you made during the open enrollment period.
All changes will be effective January 1, 2012.
