The employee education program allows University of North Florida faculty, administrative and support staff employees who have been employed for at least six months, and who are in good standing, the opportunity to take classes at UNF, tuition free. Please refer to the FAQ below for more information on the requirements and benefits of the program.
The employee education program provides the following benefits:
For full-time employees - tuition-free classes, up to six credit hours per semester, at UNF.
For part-time (0.5 FTE) employees - tuition free classes, up to three credit hours per semester, at UNF.
The program does not cover the tuition costs for thesis, dissertation, internships, directed independent study, non-credit courses, or sponsored credit program offerings.
Additionally, the program will not cover additional fees including, but not limited to the Wall Street Journal fee, Week of Welcome fee, Osprey ID Card fee, Orientation fee, Distance Learning Fee or the state-mandated Repeat Surcharge fee.
The employee is responsible for remaining in good academic standing for any courses covered by the employee education program:
For undergraduate courses - the employee must earn a 'C' or better
For graduate courses - the employee must earn a 'B' or better
Failure to meet the minimum grade requirements will prevent the employee from using the employee education program benefit for the next semester. The employee does not have to repay the University for the waived tuition costs.
