Active faculty, administrative and support staff employees of the University of North Florida with spouses who work for a state governmental agency, including UNF, are eligible to enroll in the state's spouse program. This program provides health insurance coverage at a reduced cost of $15/month per employee — provided both employees are appointed full-time and are in benefits-eligible positions. Any changes related to work/life events—such as birth/adoption, divorce, termination, leave of absence, or change in FTE — must be reported to the Office of Human Resources within 31 days of the event. During this time, health coverage may be converted or dropped to prevent the underpayment of premiums and/or cancellation of coverage.
