Nature of Work:
This is work performing professional accounting functions within a designated accounting section.
- Prepares and analyzes accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports.
Reconciles bank statements and other accounting records, reconciles general ledgers, records revenue.
Prepares financial reports and/or supporting documentation.
Prepares, reviews, audits, and adjusts accounting entries.
Conducts special cost and/or budgetary studies, analyzes findings, and prepares proposals accounting concerning improvements.
Reviews department accounts for specific projects for compliance with applicable regulations.
- Reviews subsidiary records and prepares appropriate billings.
A bachelor's degree in a directly related area of specialization; or a high school diploma and four years of experience directly related to the job functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
