Objective and Purpose:

To establish the minimum requirements for a baccalaureate degree in the College of Education and Human Services

Policy:

Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in Education are as follows:> Completion of a minimum of 120-129 degree and program related semester hours, depending on the specific education major, of which at least 48 semester hours are taken at the upper level.

1. Completion of the last 30 upper-level semester hours in the degree program in residence at UNF.Completion of all field experience requirements.
2. A minimum UNF grade point average of 2.5 is required for internship.
3. A minimum of a C grade for all courses required in the major.
4. The maintenance of a minimum overall GPA of 2.5, in order to progress toward a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree.
5. Passing scores on the Florida Teachers Certification Exam (FTCE) including the Florida General Knowledge test (GK), as graduation requirements for the state approved, endorsed degree
