CRITERIA:
- Meet admissions requirements of the University of North Florida, and be accepted in a graduate program in the College of Education and Human Services in a doctor of education or master of education program
- Must demonstrate teaching excellence and serve as an inspiration to students relatively early in their career
- Must be employed in Duval County public or private schools as a full-time classroom teacher
- Must have taught for at least 3 and no more than 10 years, at the time of the award
- Must be in a degree program related to school professionals
NOTE: at the time of the award, award recipients will be required to provide formal, written confirmation from a representative of each school board or district where you have taught to verify your years of teaching experience
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY:
- Enroll part-time (6 credit hours) each semester and earn 12 credits by the end of each academic year
- Maintain a minimum graduate GPA of at least 3.0
- Consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor
- Comply with all University regulations, rules and codes of conduct governing students on campus
- Remain in good standing as a student
