Requirements & Criteria

Required Credits

Enroll for a minimum of 6 degree seeking credit hours

Criteria

  1. Be an undergraduate student
  2. Be a Florida resident for tuition purposes
  3. Be Pell eligible
  4. Maintain a cumulative 2.0 or higher GPA
  5. Student may not have previously received a bachelors/baccalaureate degree.
  6. Student's parent(s) may not have received a bachelors/baccalaureate degree. 
  7. Not owe a repayment or be in default under any State or Federal grant, loan or scholarship program.

Renewal Criteria

  1. Complete the FAFSA each year
  2. Be Pell eligible
  3. Maintain a cumulative 2.0 overall GPA as of the most recent spring semester
  4. Successfully complete 75% of coursework attempted/funded
  5. Continue to meet the "Award Criteria" listed above.

Additional Information

Student may receive funding for a maximum of 8 semesters.  Yearly awards are contingent upon receipt of state funding & institutional matching funds.
