General Policies and Immunization

The University of North Florida encourages applications from qualified persons and does not discriminate on the basis of sex, age, culture, ethnicity, race, religion or disability. General Procedures

  1. Admissions applications must be submitted prior to the published deadlines. Applicants may apply for admission up to one year in advance of their intended enrollment term. Undergraduate, graduate, or post-baccalaureate applicants may complete the online application or fill out the paper application and return it by mail. Students must submit a $30 non-refundable application fee.

     
  2. Official transcripts and test scores are required of applicants seeking admission to UNF. It is the applicant's responsibility to submit all required documentation. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

     
  3. Applicants should refer to Admissions Section in the University catalog to determine if additional materials such as letters of recommendation, financial statements or other test scores are required.

     
  4. Students who matriculate at the University of North Florida are required to provide proof of immunization against rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) prior to the initial registration. The policy applies to students (except those born before 1957) who attend classes taught at the main campus. Students may access and download the required health form. Questions concerning this policy should be directed to the Medical Compliance Office, (904) 620-2175.

Each application is acknowledged upon arrival at the Office of Admissions, and an admission decision will be made upon receipt of required documents.

Students whose applications for admission are denied may petition for reconsideration. Students who wish to appeal their admission decision should submit updated academic information to the Office of Admissions. Immunization Policies

The Florida Board of Regents has mandated that all students enrolling in an on-campus course at a state university must provide proof of immunization before registration. Check the health form for specific age requirements. All immunization information or blood titer results must be submitted to the Medical Compliance Office before you can register for class.
