2014 Transfer Header

Are you looking for a university that will broaden your horizons? The University of North Florida is ready for you. Our students are challenged by a rigorous curriculum coupled with professors committed to providing individualized attention necessary for classroom success. Whether you're looking for a new college home or returning to your studies after a break, we hope you'll explore more about UNF.

Admission Requirements

Generally, transfer students apply to UNF one or two semesters before they intend to start classes. Although deadlines are published, they tend to change frequently as we near enrollment capacity. We recommend applying early and checking back frequently. If you're ready to apply now, make sure you submit all required documents.

  • Online application

  • Application fee

  • Official college and military transcripts

  • Score reports from prior credits earned (AP, IB, AICE, CLEP, DANTES, etc.)

If you have fewer than 60 transferable credit hours, we will also need official high school transcripts and SAT/ACT test scores. For complete details, you can continue reading about transfer admission requirements.

Controlled-Access Programs

Certain programs have enrollment caps or require specific coursework for admission. Some of these programs include popular programs like Nursing, Education and Biology. Do your research to learn about all the requirements you'll be asked to fulfill for these programs.

Transfer Credits

Although a complete evaluation of transferable and applicable credits can't be completed until you have been admitted, we recommend you take note of some general guidelines that will help you determine whether your earned credits will apply toward your degree at UNF.

Other student types

We work with students seeking admission to UNF with a variety of circumstances. If you are a returning student, transient student, senior citizen, post-baccalaureate or non-degree seeking student, you will have some different application requirements.
