Transfer Student Program of Study

If not already satisfied before/during the admission process, the following will become a part of the student's program of study:

  1. Program prerequisites. Prerequisites for all programs are listed in the University catalog
     
  2. Statewide Foreign Language Requirement, as applicable.
     
  3. Satisfaction of Gordon Rule (College-Level Communications and Computation Skills). The rule requires students to complete 9 semester credit hours of English coursework, 3 semester credit hours of freshman core and 3 semester hours of philosophy in which the student is required to demonstrate writing skills. For more information on the Gordon Rule, please see Appendix C of the Undergraduate catalog.

Students who have completed an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida public institution will be considered to have satisfied the CLAS requirement as well as any approved general education program. Students who have not received an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida public institution or have not completed Associate of Arts general education requirements at a Florida public post secondary institution will be required to meet UNF general education program requirements.
