Executive Branch

The Executive Branch works to address student concerns on campus. Members of the Executive Branch help the student body in multiple ways. Their duties include serving on university committees, speaking at events, working with athletes, Greek and other groups and organizations, as well as coordinating activities for students. The Executive Branch is comprised of the Executive Cabinet and Executive Agencies.

Hailey Guerra was born and raised in Miami, FL, where she attended the mega magnet school, Coral Reef Senior High School. It was at Coral Reef that she was in the Legal & Public Affairs Academy and fostered a love for law, which is what brought her to UNF in the Fall of 2012. Now a senior, Hailey is completing a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice, as well as, a minor in French. During her time at UNF, Hailey has been actively involved in the women’s fraternity, Alpha Chi Omega, and served in Student Government as an Associate Justice, Director of Governmental Affairs, Attorney General, and Vice President. Following graduation, Hailey hopes to spend time traveling and getting work experience in a state or federal agency before attending law school and pursuing a career as an attorney.

 Caleb Grantham grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, where he attended Bartram Trail High School. He started at UNF in the fall of 2014, majoring in Mechanical Engineering while also being a student in the Hicks Honors College. During his first semester, Caleb went through the process for Senate appointment with the desire to make a positive impact on campus. After serving as Senate President Pro-Tempore for the past year, Caleb made the decision to move to the Executive Branch and serve in the capacity of Chief of Staff. While in office Caleb hopes to provide opportunities for both students and student government officials to work together to better the university.

Shane Biery

 

 Shane is a junior in his second year at the University of North Florida.  He dual enrolled his junior and senior year of high school at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, and received his AA upon graduating.  Shane is majoring in Communications with a focus on Public Relations and is minoring in sports management. He is a member of the PRSSA and is Community Service Chair for one of the organizations on campus. He plans on completing his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of North Florida at the end of the 2016 fall semester, and then plans to get his Master’s Degree from the University of Florida.  After completing school he hopes to become a Director of Communications and/or Public Relations for a major sports team.

  Zach is a senior at UNF and is an International Business major with plans to double major in Marketing and minor in leadership. He plans to graduate at the end of fall 2016. Once he graduates he wants to go full time at Cox Media group as a host and personality on Power 106.1 the hip hop station here in the Duval. He also plans to get his Talent Agent’s license and create an agency with that. During his time here at UNF he has been involved in intramural sports, the Spanish club, as well as Osprey Productions.

Abby is a sophomore at the University of North Florida. She is majoring in Marketing & Logistics, with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Abby is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree and hopes to graduate in the spring of 2018. Abby volunteers with local Girl Scout troops in Jacksonville and Prevent Child Abuse America. After college, Abby intends stay in Jacksonville to pursue a career in advertising.

 Glehn is a junior majoring in Political Science and International Studies with a minor in Business Administration. He was born and raised in the Philippines and later moved to St. Augustine where he received his Associate in Arts degree from St. Johns River State College and transferred to UNF in the Fall of 2015. His plans after graduating from UNF include commissioning into the U.S. Armed Forces and working in the public sector.
