As a member of the Parents Association you can actively participate in the life of your Osprey student and interact with and lend support to other parents. You can volunteer for major activities such as planning Family Weekend, participation on Orientation panels, and/or serve as Regional Area Coordinators to host send offs and be a contact for incoming parents. The Parents Association meets on campus twice a year to plan the year’s activities.
Every parent or guardian is automatically a member of the UNF Parents Association, but OSPREY, SILVER, or BLUE members receive additional benefits. You can sign up and pay your membership dues online. Or if you would prefer, download a form to join the Parents Association.
A portion of the Parents Association budget is designated annually for projects to benefit all UNF students. Grants are awarded through an application process to departments within the Division of Student Affairs and student organizations in good standing with Club Alliance who are working to enhance and enrich the student experience. The Parents Association funded grants totaling $24,311 for the 2011-12 school year.
Call (904) 620-1567 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in running for office or if you would like to nominate someone.
Many of you asked about volunteering during Orientation. We need volunteers to assist with events and to take an active role in creating a Parent’s Council with by-laws and specific duties throughout the year. If you are interested, please e-mail email@example.com for an application.
