The Sex Week Research & Resources Showcase is a poster presentation and resource tabling session that will take place in the Student Union from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018. For more information about this event, please click
To submit a proposal, please email Angel Kalafatis with the LGBT Resource Center at
. Your submission should indicate whether you are presenting a poster or requesting a table to showcase departmental resources. Poster submissions should include a title, authors, a 50 word abstract for our program, and a 250 word abstract describing the research or project you wish to present.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 15, 2017.

Participants will learn basic LGBT terminology, become aware
of the challenges that LGBT students may face, be introduced to resources,
dialogue on strategies to create a more LGBT-inclusive campus, and ask
questions throughout. Attendees receive a Safe Space sticker upon completion.
This training is part of the Student Affairs Cultural Competency Pursuit but
may also be taken separately and has no pre-requisites. Registration is required

Out of the Closet Clothing Swap is a clothing swap hosted by Pride Club and Trans Talks at the LGBT Resource Center on the 18th of November. Bring you clothes and accessories in wearable condition and swap with your friends. All clothing brought will be free to swap, and any remaining items will be donated to charity. This event is especially geared toward providing gender-affirming clothing to individuals on the transgender spectrum, but anyone is welcome to attend.

Join us for Ga(y)me Night as we demonstrate games that include LGBT representation and discuss our opinions, our conclusions about the game, and the stories behind them.
For our inaugural game, we will be playing Undertale, a 2015 game that sparked a huge following and topped Metacritic's list of most highly rated PC games.

Courageous Conversations is a collaborative speaker series
that examines current issues in our nation that directly impact our
community. This event will look at the intersection of identities related
to race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender and sexual orientation. A panel,
comprised of UNF students, faculty and staff will discuss social identities and
the cross cutting of identity status, roles, and labels. UNF facilitators will
lead small group dialogues immediately following the panel discussion. A
