Career Services provides a comprehensive, four-year career development program designed to teach students how to assess their individual skills and interests, research careers, explore the world of work through experiential learning opportunities, and present themselves effectively to employers and graduate schools.

ENACTUS brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals, and business leaders around the shared mission of creating a better, more sustainable world. From delivering a computer classroom to a rural village in the Dominican Republic to helping foster youth develop skills for the future, UNF ENACTUS has won 14 consecutive regional championships and placed in the top 20 of 800 teams nationally in five of the last six years.

The UNF Environmental Center's mission is to establish, develop, and support cross-disciplinary education and research related to the environment. The Center fosters programs for students, faculty, and staff to pursue environmental activities through academics, research, and extracurricular activities, as well as conducts and supports campus infrastructure projects involving environmental sustainability and the campus's natural environment.

Health Promotion seeks to promote the health and well-being of the University community. Through its diverse programs and services, the department educates on the importance of making pro-health choices. The ultimate goal of its work is to develop a greater appreciation of healthy living and to foster physical, emotional and spiritual growth and development within others.

UNF Housing and Residence Life houses almost 3,000 students on campus. We offer leadership opportunities to over 100 student leaders: from Resident Assistant positions to representing and serving the top leaders who live with us.

RHA is the student government for students who live in the residence halls. RHA serves as the voice of the on-campus students, advocates for the needs of on-campus students, and provides on-campus programs for our residents. All who live with us are automatically members!

NRHH represents and serves the top 1% of student leaders living on-campus at the University of North Florida. We truly are an honor society of the top leaders of our residence halls.

Institute for Values, Community and Leadership sponsors of the annual Student Leadership Summit. The Institute seeks to develop and promote global ethical leadership and character among our students and the UNF community through education, service, civic engagement and research. Its Leadership Certificate Program provides students with an intentional track to study theory and practice of leadership.

The mission of the Interfaith Center is to care for the individual, and to lead, educate and advocate the expression of religious faith and core values.

The mission of the International Center is to provide and enhance, through both curricular and co-curricular activities, a range of opportunities which can expand the global understanding of the UNF community.

The International Center is responsible for (1) recruiting and providing programs, activities, and services that address the specific needs of international students on campus and (2) developing and promoting study abroad activities for domestic students who seek international learning experiences in Study Abroad and International Programs in general.

The Arc Jacksonville helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities unlock their potential to take on valued roles in the community. The On Campus Transition (OCT) aims to provide the opportunity for young adults with intellectual disabilities to become independent members of society. This collaboration of the Arc Jacksonville and UNF OCT is accomplished through campus and community inclusion with the help of mentor volunteers as well as other employment services and training.

For 40 years, this local interfaith nonprofit organization has championed community building, advocacy and educational programs that promote peace, understanding and respect among people of different races, ethnic backgrounds, and religions. One of its flagship programs is Metrotown, an intensive, experiential youth diversity education program. Others include Project Breakthrough, an initiative to change the story of structural racism in Jacksonville, along with interfaith service events.

Presidential Envoys are the student ambassadors of UNF who focus on Alumni Association events, school spirit and community service. PESAA is a great opportunity for meeting new peers, networking with Alumni, and getting involved with other campus leaders.

UNF Recreation is the primary on-campus resource for recreational and social activities. The purpose of Campus Recreation is to provide students, faculty, and staff with a wide variety of recreational and social activities ranging from fitness classes and intramural sports at the magnificent new UNF Arena (opening Summer 2012) to Eco Adventures of kayaking, sailing, white water trips, natural trails, and the UNF Organic Garden.

Rotaract is an international service-club for UNF's finest young professionals, sponsored by Rotary International. Rotaractors make up a special kind of UNF student on the threshold of their careers, and like their counterparts in Rotary International, their primary focus is "Service Above Self," striving to enhance our community through the common bonds of professional development, service, and friendship.

Student Government actively works to meet the needs of students and to enhance the quality of campus life and do this through hosting a variety of programs and funding student organizations. Student Government’s primary agencies include: Club Alliance, Osprey Productions, the UNF Volunteer Center, and the African American Student Union.

If you have a concern or want more information about issues affecting women, the Women’s Center is the place to start. UNF’s Women’s Center’s has advocated for the political, social, and economic gains of ALL people by eradicating gender-based inequalities in a supportive atmosphere.

Alliance for the Lost Boys of Sudan was established to assist with the health and educational needs of

local Lost Boys and South Sudanese and to partner with other 501 C-3 organizations to provide health,

education, and humanitarian aid in the Republic of South Sudan.

An advocacy/services organization that helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

unlock their potential to take on valued roles in the community. UNF has partnered with Arc to create an

innovative transition program for young adults with developmental disabilities, providing them a unique

opportunity to have an authentic college experience.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida is part of a nationwide affiliation of local, autonomous organizations that work to help young people of all backgrounds develop the qualities they need to gain skills, experience positive peer influence, and improve their academic success. Founded in 1962, we now serve more than 1,500 young people everyday at 14 facilities, each strategically placed to serve those who need us most in Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns County.

Communities in Schools is dedicated to serving youth and we are always seeking volunteers, mentors, and tutors to work with students. In fact, over 450 sixth grade students started this school year in need of a mentor/tutor.

The Florida Department of Children and Families coordinates services for refugees being resettled through the state department. Once in Jacksonville, DCF Refugee Services Program helps coordinate service providers and government organizations to ensure successful resettlement.

HandsOn Jacksonville is the ON-RAMP to volunteering on the First Coast. This organization, formerly known as Volunteer Jax, inspires, equips, and mobilizes people to take action that changes the world. They network volunteers with dozens of programs and projects around the community. Their vision is that "one day every person will discover their power to make a difference, creating healthy communities in vibrant democracies around the world."

IMPACTjax is the young professionals program of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the premier venue for Jacksonville's next generation of leaders to connect with each other and the community. IMPACTjax provides a venue for young professionals to network with each other, develop personally and professionally, engage in the Chamber and support activities and ideas to make Jacksonville an increasingly attractive city for young workers.

A diverse, multi-issue congregation-based community organization representing 21 congregations from 11 denominations in Jacksonville. They powerfully address neighborhood and city-wide issues by holding key public and private institutions accountable, with emphasis on the concerns of low to moderate income communities.

The Jacksonville Public Education Fund is an independent Local Education Fund dedicated to improving the quality of public education so that all students graduate from Duval County Public Schools ready for college and the workforce. We produce high quality research, engage the community to elicit civic voice and action, and advocate to improve policies and practices.

The MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation was founded in 1997 by former Wimbledon finalist, MaliVai Washington and has touched the lives of over 17,000 local youth. MWKF offers a FREE afterschool program, called TnT (Tennis-n-Tutoring) which provides mentoring, tutoring, homework assistance, life skills classes and tennis lessons to over 160 under served youth in grades K-high school.

Peace Corps service is a life-defining leadership experience. Volunteers serve in 76 countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, the Pacific Islands and the Middle East. Peace Corps Volunteers live, learn, and work with a community overseas for 27 months, providing technical assistance in six program areas: education, youth and community development, health, business and information and communications technology, agriculture, and environment.

Rotary International is the oldest worldwide service club with over 1.2 million members and 33,000 clubs around the globe. Members work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, and promote peace under the motto Service Above Self. The Jacksonville Oceanside Club also sponsors the UNF Rotaract Club, a campus service club open to all UNF students ages 18-30.

VisionWalk is the national signature fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The urgent

mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. is to drive the research that will provide preventions,

treatments, and cures for people affected by retinis pigmentosa (RP), macular degeneration, Usher

syndrome, and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.

World Relief, an international organization, envisions the most vulnerable people transformed economically, socially, and spiritually by assisting refugees who have been forced to leave everything they know and start life over again. Our vision is to link newly arriving refugees with community volunteers and churches who will assist them in the process of adjusting to their new life in America.
