There are Three Primary Activity Domains
Qualified INTERNAL Activities (On campus)
A1: Annual Student Leadership Summit;
A2: Other UNF-Based Leadership Development Educational Event (not the Annual Student Leadership Summit);
A3: On-Campus WORK/EMPLOYMENT;
A4: All other On-Campus Activity Outside the Classroom;
Qualified EXTERNAL Activities (Off Campus)
B1: Community-based Service Project;
B2: Work Experience (including Apprenticeships and Internships);
B3: Community Immersion Experience (CBTL Definition);
B4: Community-Based Research;
B5: Community-Based Social or Economic Development Project;
B6: Political Action/Campaign;
B7: Study Abroad or other intensive International Travel Experience;
B8: Community-based Leadership Development Educational Event (non-UNF related);
Qualified Personal/Family Life Event
A Life-Event activity is generally something that occurs in the context of one’s personal or family life. For instance, leadership development can occur in the midst of a major change impacting family life, such as the death of a parent/spouse/sibling, a major illness, accident, unemployment, family travel opportunity, relocation, etc. The impact of this activity generally has little or no direct bearing on neither the UNF CAMPUS nor the COMMUNITY. The significance of the event/activity has more direct bearing on the individual student in the context of his/her personal life, but nonetheless has demonstrable leadership development outcomes.
Be specific and descriptive in your documentation of the activity and the learning about leadership that ensued. Write a minimum of 3 paragraphs. In the opening sentence, mention the name and title/role of at least one person who can verify your engagement in this activity (if that information is available to you). For instance, that may be a supervisor or colleague, faculty club moderator, etc. In concrete terms, explain exactly what happened and the circumstances of the activity or event you are describing. Then write about what you learned about leadership and how it may have impacted your growth as a leader or even changed you as a person. Write your reflection so that it specifically discusses your learning/insight in the context of the particular Outcome and Indicator you selected above. We recommend that you compose your reflection in a Word document, check for spelling and grammar, then “copy/paste” it into the textbox. AVOID using double quotation marks (“) as the ELT may delete your entry following the double quotation marks. If you need to put something in quotes, use a single quotation mark, i.e. Be sure to SAVE your word document on your computer or flash drive, just in case your response gets lost for some “techy” reason.
Click “Submit” immediately below the textbox where you entered your reflective narrative. You should then see that “learning experience” added to a table at the bottom of the screen, showing all learning experiences you have submitted to date.
DO NOT CLICK “Submit” more than once, as it will generate duplicate submissions.
To submit an additional learning experience for the same activity (but with a different outcome/indicator), click “Return to Previous” in the upper right, which takes you back to the main menu. From there, click: Enter an Additional Experience/Outcome to a previously submitted Activity; then look in your “bin” of prior submissions that are awaiting approval and click the link on the sequence number for the activity you wish to add a new learning experience. The system will pull up that submission and remember the earlier fields. You only now need to select a new “Outcome” and one of its corresponding “bullet” indicators. Then continue to enter a new “reflection/explanation” that justifies that new learning outcome. You can enter multiple learning experiences for the same activity, so long as each submission used a different outcome/indicator combination and has its own unique narrative essay for the "reflection/explanation."
