The Information & Advising session is offered TWICE: Tuesday, June 6th (4-5pm) & Wednesday, June 7th (1-2pm). Choose one of these sessions to attend. Both sessions will take place in the Taylor Leadership Institute's new office, located in Schultz Hall (Building 9, Room 1103).

These sessions are open to ALL students, whether or not they have declared the Leadership Minor. The minor provides students with important credentials documenting the intentional study and practice of leadership, giving them an important "plus factor" in the job market and in applications to graduate school.

These sessions are geared towards both current and prospective students in the leadership minor program. Current students who have already declared the minor can ask questions and gain advice on how to proceed through the program. Prospective students will learn about the benefits and requirements of the inter-disciplinary Leadership Minor. The leadership minor must be declared through the advisor in your major. Students should declare the leadership minor not later than the last term of their junior year.

Attendance at an ELT Workshop is required of all students who seek the Leadership Minor and have completed LDR 3003 (Introduction to Leadership).  This one-hour workshop will teach you the meaning of "reflective practice" and how to properly utilize UNF's unique online tool called the  Experiential Learning Transcript (ELT)  to chronicle and unpack your leadership learning outcomes from diverse co-curricular experiences outside the classroom. These include on-campus and off-campus activities and personal family-life events, and can make reference to employment, service, community engagement, study abroad, and other forms of experiential learning.

The ELT might be described as a reflective journal that documents how the student has distinguished herself/himself in the practice of leadership. Submitting entries on the ELT is a requirement to attain the Leadership Minor and builds the student's unique and personal leadership repertoire of reflected leadership practice, paving the way for successful completion of the final course in the Minor, LDR 4263 - Leadership Practicum and the presentation of one's Senior Leadership Capstone as the primary deliverable of that final course. In effect, the "practicum" is the composite of all your reflected leadership learnings across all your experiences during the tenure of your time at UNF. Students should allow at least two terms of reflection on the ELT prior to enrollment in LDR 4263. Students are required to have a minimum of 12 ELT entries prior to admission to LDR 4263.
