Housing and Residence Life Staff
The Housing and Residence Life staff work together to provide an outstanding on-campus experience for you!
The Housing staff is overseen by the Associate Director of Housing Operations and handles all questions, as well as invoicing and billing, assignments, work orders and the overall condition of our residence halls.
The Residence Life staff is overseen by the Associate Director of Residence Life and are responsible for engaging students in the residence halls, creating an inclusive residential environment, and providing a safe home away from home. The Residence Life staff is comprised mostly of Resident Assistants (RAs) and Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs), who live with the residents in the halls. They are responsible for creating programs for their floor/community, counseling residents through roommate conflicts and policy enforcement.

staff.

Interim Director for
Housing Operations/Associate Director
Bob Boyle
The Interim Director for Housing Operations is a full-time, master's-level housing professional who oversees a wide variety of responsibilities within Housing and Residence Life, including but not limited to: housing contract management, facilities management, room and roommate assignments, marketing, department technology (hardware and software), resident mail operation, summer conferences, space reservation and supervision of a variety of professional staff members. The Interim Director for Housing Operations is also responsible for assessment and year-end reports. The Interim Director for Housing Operations reports to the Vice President for Student and International Affairs.

The Interim Director for Residence Life is a full-time,
master’s-level housing professional who oversees the Residence Life program and
reports to the Vice President for Student and International Affairs.
Responsibilities include: supervising the Assistant Directors of Residence
Life, HRL Academic Initiatives, Living-Learning Communities, and Housing and
Residence Life Conduct. The Interim Director for Residence Life also serves as
a member of the Housing and Residence Life Senior Staff team and on the Senior
Staff on-call duty rotation.

Assistant Director for Student
Leadership and Staff Recruitment
Morgan Murray
The Assistant Director for Student Leadership and Staff
Recruitment is a full-time, master’s-level housing professional who leads the
Residence Life recruitment, selection, and student leadership initiatives.
Responsibilities include: senior adviser for RHA and NRHH student-led
organizations, direct supervisor to three RLCs and chairs the Recruitment and
Selection Committee. The Assistant Director for Student Leadership and Staff
Recruitment also serves as a member of the Housing and Residence Life Senior Staff
team and on the Senior Staff on-call duty rotation.

Assistant Director for Student Success
and Staff Development
Sarah Friswold
The Assistant Director for Student Success and Staff
Development is a full-time, master’s-level housing professional who leads the
Residence Life development, training, and Living-Learning Community (LLC) initiatives.
Responsibilities include: management of LLCs and theme housing communities,
direct supervisor to three RLCs and chairs the Training and Development
Committee. The Assistant Director for Student Success and Staff Development
also serves as a member of the Housing and Residence Life Senior Staff team and
on the Senior Staff on-call duty rotation.

Assistant Director of Facilities
Steve Crews
The Assistant Director of Facilities is a
full-time, bachelor's-level housing professional whose primary responsibilities
include the direct supervision of the maintenance and custodial staff and the
oversight and upkeep of all housing property. The Assistant Director of
Facilities is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance work
performed in the housing properties. This individual is responsible for minor
project planning, room inventory and the preparation of the residence halls for
various occupancy periods. The Assistant Director of Facilities reports to the
Director of Housing and Residence Life.
Assistant Director of Budgets
Lola Argalas
The Assistant Director of Budgets is a full-time,
bachelor's-level professional whose primary responsibility is the daily
management of the Housing and Residence Life budget. The Assistant Director
supervises a Senior Accountant, a Senior Accounts Payable Representative and an
Accountant. The Assistant Director works closely with the Director of Housing
and Residence Life in the development of the operational budget and in setting
rental rates for the housing areas. The Assistant Director is responsible for
all reports and requests for information related to the Housing budget. The
Assistant Director reports to the Director of Housing and Residence Life.
Residence Life Coordinators
The Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) are
professional full-time staff who work traditional business hours. They are
typically entry-level staff who have a master's degree in student affairs, higher
education, college student development or counseling. Each RLC manages a
community of 450-500 students, directly supervises 8-11 RAs for their
respective areas, is the professional staff first-responder for emergencies and
crisis situations, adviser to their respective area council, Conduct Hearing Officer
and they chair a Housing and Residence Life educational committee.

Meet the Residence Life Coordinators
Resident Assistants
RAs are generally full-time undergraduate
student staff members. Each RA oversees about 50 students on a floor, wing,
house or village apartment building and are supervised by an RLC. Some of the
responsibilities of the RA include: work with students, provide programs for
their students, actively develop the residential community and enforce
policies. RAs have in-community duty responsibilities, office hours in the
area, and work on Housing and Residence Life committees.
