Sigma Alpha Epsilon

Organization Facts

SAE is North America's largest social fraternity with more than 280,000 initiated members. Fraternal symbols include the lion, the phoenix, Minerva, and the fleur-de-lis. Sigma Alpha Epsilon was the first fraternity to establish a national headquarters (1929), a national Leadership School (1935), a nation Men's Health Issues Committee (1980) and a career development program entitled the Leading Edge (1990).

The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service for our members based upon the ideals set forth by our founders and as specifically enunciated in The True Gentlemen.

Chapter Facts

Sigma Alpha Epsilon found its way to UNF in 2003 and we've been making history ever since. The 11 Florida Nu Founding Fathers colonized our chapter in less than two years, making us one of the fastest SAE chapters to receive our charter. Since being recognized on campus, we have dominated Greek Life in activities and scholarship. Our chapter has received various awards and participates in multiple philanthropy and community service events every year. We pride ourselves on being known as The True Gentlemen and showing UNF what Greek Life is all about.
