Disability Resource Center (DRC) staff members are excited to partner with you to ensure equal access for UNF students with disabilities. In anticipation of meeting needs of students, we offer the following options to faculty members with students who require extended time or distraction-controlled testing environments in the DRC. When a student is enrolled in your class and he/she requests a DRC testing room for exams or quizzes, the following process will take place:
Please complete the Professor portion of the Exam Sign-Up sheet when the student gives it to you. It will be the student’s responsibility to return the sheet to the DRC. You will notice on the Exam Sign-Up Form that Exam 1 Date looks different from the other exam dates, this is for the classes which have daily/weekly quizzes. We will need to know when they start (first date line) and when the quizzes end (second date line) under the Exam 1 Date row. Please make sure your exams/tests are delivered to our office 48 hours in advance of the scheduled test. The exams can be hand delivered to the DRC (Building 57, Room 1500), e-mailed to email@example.com, or faxed to (904) 620-3874.
We sincerely appreciate your comments and suggestions on this process. Those suggestions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or feel free to contact the DRC office at (904) 620-2769. *Please remember that we will no longer be able to store completed tests in our office after one week. The delivery options will remain the same i.e. fax, scan and emailed or pick-up. However, if you choose to pick up the test, please do so within a week of the scheduled test. All tests that have not been picked up within that week will be delivered by campus mail to a designee in your respective college dean’s office.

Students with Disabilities
Students with disabilities who seek reasonable accommodations in the classroom or other aspects of performing their coursework must first register with the UNF Disability Resource Center (DRC) located in Building 57, Room 1500. DRC staff members work with students to obtain required documentation of disability and to identify appropriate accommodations as required by applicable disability laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). After receiving all necessary documentation, the DRC staff determines whether a student qualifies for services with the DRC and if so, the accommodations the student requires will be provided. DRC staff then prepares a letter for the student to provide faculty advising them of approved accommodations. For further information, contact the DRC by phone (904) 620-2769, email (email@example.com), or visit the DRC website (http://www.unf.edu/drc/).
Military and veteran students who return from combat exposure may be utilizing the post 9/11 GI bill to continue postsecondary education goals and may need both physical and academic accommodations. Contact Ray Wikstrom, Director of Military and Veterans’ Resource Center by phone (904) 620-2655, email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
