Center for Student Media

Mission Statement

The mission of the Center for Student Media is to provide the university community with news, entertainment, and a forum for the exchange of ideas, while also providing an educational learning environment for students. Through the production of various mass media outlets, students gain practical experience in newsgathering and the dissemination, management, production, advertising, and business aspects of the industry.

UNF’s own radio station plays everything from College Top 20 to jazz. The station streams online around the world, can be accessed on mobile devices at m.ospreyradio.com/ and it plays on cable Ch. 171 on campus.

Osprey Radio also DJs events and provides both on-air and production instruction.

It’s both a weekly newspaper and a Web site updated daily. The paper is available each Wednesday at more than 30 racks on and off campus and has a circulation of 4,000 students; the Web site draws up to 500 unique visitors a day at the Spinnaker website.
