Student Affairs Scholarships

The Division of Student Affairs realizes there can be more a meaningful college experience through financial scholarships. The hope is to assist a student who is currently working to have more time to study and be in the classroom. In pursuit of this goal, Student Affairs makes available scholarships to students seeking to enrich their academic enrichment, and fulfill their dreams of a bachelors degree.

 

UNF Leadership Scholarship 

Applications are now being accepted for the 2013-2014 UNF Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship in the amount of $2,000 ($1,000 /Fall and $1,000/Spring) was established to provide financial assistance to current undergraduate students who are enrolled in at least 9 credit hours, and enrolled in the UNF Leadership Certificate Program. Applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. The scholarship is based on a commitment to leadership, a letter of recommendation, and a personal essay. The application deadline is March 25, 2013. 

Requirements 

  • meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida,
  • enroll as an undergraduate student at University of North Florida, earning a minimum of 9 credit hours,
  • maintain a cumulative UNF GPA of 2.5,
  • enroll in the UNF Leadership Certificate program,
  • submit a short essay (500 words or less) describing leadership roles in high school, college or the community,
  • submit one letter of recommendation by a member of the UNF faculty or staff

Scholarship Application 

 

 

UNF Parents Association Endowed Scholarship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2013-2014 UNF Parents Association Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship in the amount of $3,000 ($1,500 /Fall and $1,500/Spring) was established to provide assistance to current students who have completed at least 24 credit hours in undergraduate studies. Applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The scholarship is based on academic excellence, a commitment to community service and a personal essay. Full-time enrollment at UNF while receiving this scholarship (12 credit hours) is required. The application deadline is March 25, 2013. 

Requirements

  • Enroll full-time (12 credit hours) each semester and earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of each academic year
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the University of North Florida
  • Demonstrate a commitment to community service and be good standing as a student

Friends of Student Affairs Community Council Endowed Scholarship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2013-2014 UNF Student Affairs Community Council Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship in the amount of $2,000 ($1,000/Fall and $1,000/Spring) was established to provide assistance to current undergraduate students who work to support themselves or dependents, and who reside in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau or St. Johns County. The application deadline is March 25, 2013 

 

Applicants must demonstrate financial need as defined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid, be in good standing and have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Requirements

  • Be a resident of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, or St. Johns County
  • Be working at least 20 hours a week to support self or dependents
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need
  • Be enrolled for a minimum of nine (9) credit hours per semester
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0

Gandhi Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2013-2014 Gandhi Memorial Society Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship in the amount of $1,000 ($500 /Fall and $500/Spring) was established to provide assistance to sophomore, junior or senior students who have a demonstrated commitment to nonviolence, humanitarian and community service. Applicants must be in good standing, have a minimum 2.75 GPA, demonstrate financial need as defined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid, and must submit a brief essay. The application deadline is March 25, 2013.   

 

Full-time enrollment at UNF while receiving this scholarship (12 credit hours) is required.
