Promote Environmental Awareness at UNF

Every person at UNF contributes to our environmetnal footprint, so we will need everyone's help if we are going to make UNF sustainable. That means we need to get the word out about recycling, energy reduction and water conservation to students, faculty and staff. Volunteers will help get the word out about sustainability at Market Days, residence halls and individual departments. We also need creative minds to help develop unique and effective ways to get the word out. So bring any ideas ideas you have about how to make UNF more sustainable.

Outside Volunteer Opportunities

Florida State Parks

There are 160 state parks consisting of more than 700,000 acres, hosting more than 21 million visitors a year. Florida State Parks could not succeed without the help of volunteers. Volunteer opportunities are as diverse and numerous as the parks themselves.

The Sierra Club: Northeast Florida Group

The Sierra Club is a national organization, but our effectiveness is largely in part to our volunteers at the grassroots level. This is especially true in your local Northeast Florida Group, where all of us are volunteers, spending what time we can to helping make our neighborhoods a better, safer, and more environmentally-friendly place to live.
