In today's rapidly changing economic climate, people need more help than ever making the right choices to plan for and protect their financial futures. We live in a prosperous society with greater longevity and therefore require more investment advice and sound financial guidance. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics continues to predict faster-than-average growth for financial planners through 2014. The most recent Jobs Rated Almanac ranked financial planning as one of the top-rated jobs in America.
This 273-hour certificate program has been established to meet the need for professionals who are able to plan, assess and evaluate a client's financial future through the development of a comprehensive financial plan. The program's courses are taught by financial services professionals who will provide the latest information available in a variety of financial planning areas, including general principles, insurance planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.
Whether you're currently employed in the financial services industry or want to pursue a career in this diverse and quickly changing profession, this certificate program will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to help clients meet their financial objectives. And, you will have completed the education portion of the CFP Board requirement for the CFP® certification. CFP® certification will make you more valuable to your clients and employers.
The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certificate Program at University of North Florida is registered with Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. As a CFP Board-Registered Program, our courses satisfy the Board's education requirement, allowing an individual to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.
