Our psyches are like an iceberg. The tip of the iceberg above the water is what we are aware of but the vast unknown of our unconscious below is the source of our creativity. We will explore our inner unconscious lives through dreams, fairy tales, books and film. PowerPoint and lectures will be used to explain the different levels of the psyche according to Carl Jung. Class participation will be encouraged.

Gretchen Deters-Smith has been a psychotherapist for more than 30 years and has been in training with the Inter Regional Society of Jungian Analysts since 2008. She specializes in dream interpretation and helping those who would like to live a more creative life. She has taught graduate level courses in counseling and is in private practice in the beaches area.
