We will use the text to undertake both a searching exploration of our history and our condition today and a rousing manifesto for American renewal. Students are expected to read the class material and participate in the discussions.

Instructor

Bill Howes holds a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. He is a former American history teacher, principal and superintendent of schools. This is his sixth year teaching in the OLLI program, where he has taught several courses in American history.
