In the first six courses of the Understanding Our World series, we concentrated on economic patterns and the global effects of leading economic regions. This course examines the societal issues and other influencing factors such as education, science and religion that contribute to the creation and decay of whole civilizations.

Instructor

Jay Marshall had a management career with Fortune 100 companies (Exxon-Mobil, Nestle, Revlon) and served as CEO of smaller international trading companies. He holds degrees in economics, engineering and business administration and has served as adjunct professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) and Thunderbird University.
